AOMEI Backupper Standard Edition

Welcome to another review of AOMEI’s programs!

In this review we will work with AOMEI Backupper Standard Edition

According to AOMEI’s official page, Backupper is:

“a backup software designed for both Windows PC and Server users to backup and restore system and files. It makes file backup, system backup, partition backup and disk backup easier with its user-friendly interface and high technologies. Once system crashes or data losses, one can easily and quickly restore system image with AOMEI Backupper, even restore the system image to dissimilar hardware. The File Sync in AOMEI Backupper is very helpful when you need to keep files in different locations synchronized. System Clone, Disk Clone and Partition Clone are available, which makes OS migration and data transferring simpler.”

In other words it is a software designed to help system admins and even normal users to take backup of their files. In our era with all the cryptolockers going around such a solution is vital! But our recommendation is to use multiple backup solutions and cloud based solutions are our favourites!

As you can see, there are a lot of backup options, some of them are very similar to disk cloning methods and some are unique to this software.
Personally I’ve tested the option to backup some game folders and move them from one PC to another. It worked flawlessly!
What I would like to see though is the option to be able to copy UWP programs and games. This was my biggest problem in my own personal machine!
Note I didn’t use this software for that purpose but whatever I’ve used didn’t work!
Imagine now that I didn’t want to clone my disks since I was moving a to brand new pc and some of my PC games are 140+GB!!!! I had to re-download them since windows didn’t want to recognise the folders from the previous OS/PC.
